BIGKEY — a multivertical travel platform with a B2C and B2B ecosystem

BigKey is not just a booking service.
It is a unified ecosystem that brings together:

  • hotel bookings
  • flight ticket sales
  • tour creation and sales
  • partner dashboards (hotels, airlines, tour operators)
  • analytics for each partner type

The project was designed as a marketplace with multiple roles and complex business logic.

Business objective

To build a scalable travel platform that:

  • combines multiple verticals (Hotels / Flights / Tours);
  • allows partners to independently manage listings and sales;
  • provides tour operators with a packaging tool (tour + hotel + flight);
  • supports cancellations, refunds, and dynamic statuses;
  • delivers analytics for operational management.

The goal was not “a beautiful UI,” but the architecture of a complex system with multiple roles

Product architecture

01 — Traveler (B2C)
  • Search for tours, hotels, and flights
  • Filtering and sorting
  • Detailed pages
  • Booking
  • Payment
  • Personal account
  • Booking management
  • Reviews

This is a full-fledged consumer booking funnel

02 — Hotel partners

A dedicated dashboard with the following functionality:

  • Onboarding
  • Property creation wizard (multi-step)
  • Infrastructure and rules configuration
  • Booking management
  • Detailed booking card
  • Platform policies
  • Payment methods
  • Analytics (occupancy, revenue, cancellations, sources)

In essence, this is a mini PMS + OTA dashboard.

03 — Airline partners

A dedicated B2B interface:

  • Flight creation
  • Schedule configuration
  • Aircraft configuration
  • Fares and classes
  • Baggage and ancillary services
  • Refund policies
  • Cancellation management
  • Flight analytics

This is a full-fledged airline management interface.

04 — Tour operators

The most complex layer of the system.
 A tour operator can:

  • Select hotels from the system
  • Select flights
  • Create a tour (tour only / tour + hotel / all inclusive)
  • Configure tour parameters
  • Manage pricing
  • Track bookings
  • Analyze sales

Essentially, this is a dynamic packaging tool.

Key product decisions

Multi-role architecture

Each role has its own interface and operating logic.
B2C and B2B are fully separated.

Object creation wizard

Creating a hotel, flight, or tour is built around a wizard-based flow.

This approach:

  • reduces cognitive load;
  • minimizes errors;
  • allows complexity to scale gradually.
Dynamic availability logic
  • Seat and room inventory
  • Booking statuses
  • Cancellations and refunds
  • Capacity management
Analytics system

Separate analytics dashboards are implemented for each partner type:

  • Occupancy
  • Revenue
  • Booking sources
  • User geography
  • Reviews
  • Seasonality
  • Trends

This turns the platform into an operational tool, not just a storefront.

Project complexity

BigKey is:

  • 3 independent B2B dashboards
  • 1 B2C ecosystem
  • 4 roles
  • more than 10 major modules
  • pricing logic
  • refund flows
  • multi-vertical interactions

This is a travel marketplace–level project, not a landing page or a catalog.

Business potential

The monetization model may include:

  • booking commissions
  • tour margins
  • partner subscriptions
  • white-label solutions

The architecture enables scaling:

  • to new countries
  • to new currencies
  • to additional verticals
Result

A scalable travel platform has been designed, supporting multiple partner types, analytics, and dynamic tour packaging.
A ready foundation for launching an OTA project or a travel SaaS.
